"I'm not your average nutritionist."

-Kira

Kira is a Certified Nutrition Specialist and Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist with a particular interest in hormonal health, sports nutrition, the microbiome, and neuroscience. Kira has completed the Hormone Advanced Practice Module through the Institute for Functional Medicine, a mentor at GHT Academy and is a trained strength and conditioning coach which supports her approach to health from a multi-factorial lens. She strongly believes in the power of the body as a whole and addresses concerns from both a physiological and psychological stance.

Education:

Kira was an athlete throughout her entire life and all the way through her collegiate volleyball career. She graduated from California State University Northridge with a Bachelor’s in Exercise Science and a minor in psychology. After years in the sports performance industry, she received my Master’s degree in Human Nutrition and Functional Medicine. With an original intent to better fuel athletic demand, she quickly found a deep passion for overall health and wellness and how to approach it from multiple angles.

In Practice:

Not your average nutritionist.  Kira thinks of herself as more of a hybrid, she lives in the functional medicine space, but also doesn't love dogma and believes that committing to one approach over another isn’t always the most beneficial to who she is serving.

Kira is here to help you find your way to your best self, both mentally and physically. Her approach means supporting the physical body through diet and lifestyle, supporting the growth that releases you from limiting beliefs, and reframing your mindset holds. Humans are like puzzles and Kira like to put the pieces together. You will get to the root cause and do what we need to heal.

Kira is a firm believer in keeping an open mind, but trusting YOUR truth – take what resonates, and leave what doesn’t. In practice, she focuses on approaching wellness by challenging your mindset and helping you find your unique answers; while supporting you with evidence based science. Focusing on testing and roots cause answers helps her guide your everyday diet and lifestyle choices.

Fun facts about Kira:

Kira loves coffee more than the average human, and is known to drive over an hour to eat at a specific restaurant. She has a passion for cooking and am is the most joyful when she gets to cook and spend time with loved ones. She is a very active human and prefers to be outside playing beach volleyball or soccer, hiking, and wakeboarding. She thoroughly enjoys sleep and has every intention of starting a podcast called “Eat. Sleep. Poop” because those are the basics of life. Kira finds herself asking deep questions to better understand her thought process and the way she does things. She find it serves her well and brings answers to things she wouldn’t have otherwise had the awareness of. When you work together, you can expect a similar depth… not because she's nosey but because she cares.
